In the past few weeks, we have been planning, researching, and creating our Rube Goldberg machines. Today was the final day to add finishing touches, and decorations to our Machine, we also had to self-check to make sure we included almost/at least everything we could add to earn an A(Advanced) on our marks as a team, and individually. In my group was Malia, William, and of course me. We made a few tweaks and changes in our Machine multiple times, but eventually agreed on a design. We tested along the way and saw a few flaws here and there, so we improvised on some parts. In the end we agreed we’d take some inspiration from one of the other groups, we did a song that Diamond Langi was involved in. Here’s the link to the video of the whole Puriri Class and the Machines they made. Our Machine included a Lever, Pulley, Inclined plane, and we tried adding a wheel and axle as decoration, but the Marble didn’t have enough force in the final run to activate it. What I found challenging was almost everything, mostly having to bring in resources and working with what we had. I really enjoyed the whole thing overall though; it was funny to see the fails and the memories made during the process.
